A Galentine's Brunch | Bold & Bright Valentine's Party
If you have never heard of a Galentine's Party, I can't wait to be the first to share with you this amazing twist on a Valentine's Day Celebration. I have never been much on celebrating "Hallmark Holidays" so when my party planning partner in crime Allison of Allison Carter Celebrates told me she wanted to host a Galentine's Party, I was all in!
A Galentine's Party is a Valentine's celebration for your gals! What better way to spoil our mom tribe than with a bubbly brunch. We immediately decided we wanted a sit down breakfast because we are all moms to young kids, so hello, who ever gets to sit for breakfast? Next on our checklist was a latte bar, where we would serve real, actual hot coffee from, never microwaved or reheated. Lastly (of course) was a mimosa bar. Those 3 things pretty much sum up my priority list as a mom if it comes to pampering myself and others, the rest of the details are negotiable. I designed a Galentine's Brunch Invite then the best part of planning a party with Allison came next....
I sit back and relax and she does all the leg work creating a digital Galentine's Party Planning Guide. It's like a themed party planning e-book to host a party where all the thinking is done for you. I never have to open Pinterest when I have a party plan because I know she has found the cutest decor, best food ideas, cocktail recipes, games and more. After she creates that, we have an entire outline and vision for the party to come to life. It makes co-hosting a party a breeze and takes the guesswork out of figuring out who is doing what!
The XO tablecloth and custom cheers glasses were two of my favorite details from this party, and both were huge labors of love! Allison hand painted the tablecloth and learned an important pro-tip. Black paint bleeds through thin white tablecloths! Luckily, her steam cleaner came to the rescue and no harm was done.
Our focus this party was to make our Galentine's feel spoiled, so I created place cards to coordinate with the invitation for everyone to have at their seat. Doesn't that feel fancy!?
The wood block signs were such a fun detail to add to the brunch spread and Allison and I are both giant suckers for plays on words.
No brunch is EVER complete without a mimosa bar. The party plan includes details on how to put together a stunning mimosa bar, so we assigned that job to one of the gals, and I made the cute Mimosa bunting sign for the finishing touch, because mimosas make me happy.
This still goes down as one of my favorite group pictures, and you guys should know by now that fake laugh photos are my favorite thing in the world. I'm honored to call these ladies my tribe. We also played a great game of would you rather, that I designed to match the invitations. It is included free in the party plan, or is available with purchase of a Galentine's invitation from me!
